Apart from Radha Krishna, the newspaper’s editor Srinivas and Seshagiri Rao also received the notices.
It may be recalled that Andhra Jyothy and ABN channel carried reports charging KTR of resorting to land settlements. Though KTR gave 48 hour notice for the media house to apologize, it did not yield. Instead Andhra Jyothi said it had all the evidence required to prove its report. Following this, KTR filed a defamation case in the Nampalli criminal court. He sought cases be registered under sections 499 and 500. KTR named Aamoda Publications as A1, Vemuri Radha as A2, Kanaganti Seshagiri Rao as A3 and editor Srinivas as A4. KTR alleged that Andhra Jyothy and ABN wrote reports with personal abuse to degrade his as well as his party’s image. Admitting the petition, the court served the notices.
