In a significant development, Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy has issued detailed directives to streamline the long-pending financial and legal issues surrounding Dhurva Natchathiram.
The court has ordered the creation of a dedicated bank account under Kondaduvom Entertainment to manage all financial transactions related to the film. This step aims to ensure better transparency and accountability in handling funds.
Additionally, an advocate has been appointed as an observer to oversee all monetary activities, including debits and remittances. The court has made it clear that no payments, whether as remuneration or profit share, should be made to any partners of Kondaduvom Entertainment without prior approval.
These measures are intended to safeguard the interests of all stakeholders involved in the project.
Directed and co-produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon, Dhurva Natchathiram stars Vikram in the lead role, with Ritu Varma playing a key part.
Menon is now required to secure funds from identified investors to clear pending dues owed to creditors before the film can proceed toward release. He is also expected to initiate discussions with exhibitors and distributors soon to finalize a release strategy.
The court further stated that if the film is unable to release before June 15 despite genuine efforts, the concerned parties may approach for an extension.
