Cow Hug Day Celebrated Big Way, Beauty Of Our Tradition!

Valentine’s day flashes in everyone’s mind when we say February 14. Lovers eagerly wait for Valentine’s Day. They try to express their love in a unique way when lover’s day arrives. It is known that boys and girls who have a crush on others will confess their feelings on this special day.

Pubs, clubs, restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and parks looked crowded on a special day. Even the traders come up with new ideas for Valentine’s day. A few people giving calls to celebrate February 14 as Cow Hug Day became controversial.

Pet lovers are saying that cow hug day will help in increasing the bonding between humans and animals. Scientists are saying that the Oxytocin hormone will be released by hugging a cow. They say that it will work as a therapy. They suggest that visiting a goshala and hugging a cow will send depression away.

The concept of hugging cows has been going on for a very long time as a tradition in the rural areas of the Netherlands. For a few decades, people in Dutch provinces have been following the tradition of hugging cows for decades. There is a very big importance for cows in India. Hindus see cows as on par with a mother.

Recently the Centre announced that cow lovers in India should celebrate February 14 as Cow Hug Day in the place of Valentine’s day. The government changed its decision with the opposition parties slamming the call. But the owners of Goshalas are suggesting cow lovers visit and hug cows.

Cow Hug Day was celebrated in a big way in a few districts in Telugu states. The event was celebrated with 600 Punganur cows in Kakinada’s Yeleswaram. Cow lovers participated in this in big numbers. Union Minister Kishan Reddy’s wife Kavya participated in an event held in Hyderabad’s Tarnaka and hugged a cow. She appreciated Indian culture.
