Producer Venu Donepudi’s Chitrayalam Studios is presenting a stylish crime comedy titled Baa Baa Black Sheep. The film’s shooting is currently underway in Meghalaya, famously known as the “Land of Clouds,” marking the first-ever film to be shot entirely in the northeastern state.
Set over the course of a single day, the story revolves around guns, gold, and a thrilling chase involving six characters.
Producer Venu Donepudi shared that Meghalaya’s breathtaking landscapes perfectly complement the film’s tone and visual appeal. “The story is set in the northeastern state, and we decided to film the entire movie here. The narrative required lush waterfalls, misty mountains, and exotic backdrops — after an extensive recce, Meghalaya was the perfect choice,” he said.
The shoot is taking place in Sohra (Cherrapunji), one of the wettest places on Earth. The production team has also partnered with the Government of Meghalaya to ensure smooth operations. Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma recently met the team to extend his support and congratulate them on the initiative.
Baa Baa Black Sheep features Tinnu Anand, Upendra Limaye, George Marian, Raja Ravindra, Akshay Lagusani, Vishnu Oi, Karthikeya Dev, Kasyap, Vismaya, Malvi Malhotra, and Samriddhi Aryal in key roles.
