Daughter-in-law withdraws case against Sankar

Vamsi Priya, daughter-in-law of former minister and MLA Sankar Rao has withdrawn the dowry harassment cases she filed against her father-in-law. She also filed a petition in the high court, stating that she was withdrawing the cases.

It may be mentioned that Vamsi Priya filed dowry harassment cases against her husband, in-laws and her husband’s sister. Following this, police had arrested the former minister. When he developed health problem after arrest, police shifted him to hospital.

It is learnt that the family members reached an out-of-the-court settlement with Vamsi Priya. They reportedly agreed to make some payment to her for her maintenance. In view of Sankar Rao’s health condition, Vamsi Priya has reportedly agreed for the settlement and withdrawal of the cases.
