Debutant Director Highly Upset With Reviews

These are the days where many filmmakers are blaming film-reviewers for the flop show of their films rather focusing on coming up with better content to entertain audiences. Even newcomer director Vikram Sirikonda who is in Telugu industry from last 14 years working in various capacities, has blamed reviews given for Touch Chesi Choodu movie.

Needless to say, Raviteja’s Touch Chesi Choodu got bad reviews on First Day itself and the film is also likely to meet a disastrous fate at the box office though the makers say B & C crowds are simply rushing to theatres. And with some reviews mentioning that “Touching this movie is not good for audiences”, director Vikram Sirikonda is deeply upset.

“They can write about the film, but can’t advise audiences either to watch the film or not to watch. I’m happy if they dissect the movie and talk about it. But who are they to tell audiences that they shouldn’t watch the film and keep away from theatres?” asks Vikram, breathing fire on critics.

At the same time, some distributors involved in Touch Chesi Choodu release also claimed that reviews are killing a film’s income and also lives of people involved in the trade. They asked critics to understand the efforts that go into making a movie and the huge money involved.

Well, that’s a never-ending debate, but why don’t filmmakers cook new stories and impressive scenes when such huge money is involved in making a movie?
