Decision to privatise Vizag Steel Plant will not be taken back: Sunil Deodhar!

Despite the growing protests against the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant privatisation, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the centre will not take back its decision in this regard.

Now BJP national secretary Sunil V. Deodhar also reciprocated the Finnace Minister’s comments and said the government took the decision for the benefit of the country.

Deodhar was in the temple city Vijayawada today to chair a crucial meeting with the key leaders of the Andhra Pradesh wing of BJP. His meeting gained significance as it was held before the Tirupati by-polls.

After the meeting the spike to media. The government has decided to privatise the Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) that are making losses. Vizag Steel Plant is also there in the list of firms the centre picked for privatisation. The steel plant is not special than others, he said.

Deodhar had accused the ruling YSRCP of illegal conversions and opined that the concerned authorities did not respond in the appropriate way when the locals complained of the cross set up in the Guntur district.

He took to Twitter to share the news of conducting a meeting with AP leaders. He said, various issues were discussed in the meeting and shared pictures of the meeting with the leaders of the AP wing of BJP.
