Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has teamed up with Meta to become the official voice of Meta AI across multiple countries. Taking to Instagram, Deepika shared a behind-the-scenes video of herself recording for Meta AI, saying,
“Hi, I’m Deepika Padukone. I’m the new voice of Meta AI. So tap the ring, and my voice will play out.”
While sharing the clip, the Piku actress captioned it, “Okay, so this is pretty cool, I think! I’m now part of Meta AI, and you can chat with my voice in English across India, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.”
This marks a remarkable milestone, making Deepika the first Indian celebrity to lend her voice to an AI platform at a global scale.
Recently, Deepika, who founded The Live Love Laugh (LLL) Foundation, was also appointed as India’s first-ever Mental Health Ambassador by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) on the occasion of World Mental Health Day.
Expressing gratitude for this honour, she wrote on Instagram:
“On World Mental Health Day, I’m deeply honoured to be appointed as the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare’s first-ever Mental Health Ambassador. Under the leadership of our Hon. Prime Minister @narendramodi, India has taken meaningful steps to place mental health at the heart of public health.”
She also acknowledged the efforts of Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava, sharing pictures from their meeting and pledging to strengthen India’s mental health framework.
On the work front, Deepika has started filming for ‘King’, her sixth collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan, after their recent blockbuster Jawan, directed by Atlee.
