Following her exit from the much-anticipated Spirit opposite Prabhas, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Deepika Padukone has secured a significant role in another high-profile pan-Indian Telugu film. The actress has reportedly agreed to star alongside Allu Arjun in a project helmed by acclaimed director Atlee.
While the film is said to feature multiple leading actresses, Deepika reportedly embraced the opportunity without hesitation, eager to make a strong mark in the Telugu film industry after missing out on Spirit.
Reports suggest that Deepika’s departure from Spirit was due to a disagreement over remuneration and profit-sharing terms. The actress had reportedly requested a remuneration of ₹20 crore along with a 15% stake in the project, terms that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga was unwilling to meet.
In contrast, for the upcoming Allu Arjun film, industry insiders reveal that Deepika will not be taking any ownership stake. Instead, she is set to receive a remuneration package comparable to what she earned for her recent pan-Indian venture, Kalki 2898 AD.
This move highlights Deepika’s continued interest in expanding her footprint in the Telugu film industry through collaborations with leading actors and directors.
