After delivering meaningful films like Colour Photo and Bedurulanka 2012, producer Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni returns with yet another thought-provoking project — Dhandoraa. Written and directed by Murali Kanth, this emotional drama is gearing up for a Christmas release on December 25.
The first poster, featuring a freshly dug pit with the tagline “A dramatic end to this year”, immediately drew attention for its subtle yet impactful tone. It hints at an intense narrative laced with deep emotion and raw realism.
Set in the heartland of rural Telangana, Dhandoraa delves into powerful themes like caste, social barriers, and the consequences of challenging age-old systems. Despite its serious core, the film reportedly blends satire, humor, and heartfelt emotion, promising a grounded and authentic cinematic experience.
The ensemble cast includes Shivaji, Navdeep, Nandu, Ravi Krishna, Manika Chikkala, Mounica Reddy, Bindu Madhavi, Raadhya, and Aditi Bhavaraju in pivotal roles. On the technical front, the film boasts Mark K. Robin as the music composer, Venkat R. Sakhamuri handling cinematography, and Srujana Adusumilli as the editor.
With T-Series backing the audio and Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures overseeing the overseas release, Dhandoraa has strong industry support. If the intriguing first look is any indication, Dhandoraa is shaping up to be more than just a film — a heartfelt story that mirrors life, struggles, and emotions in their most genuine form.
