Dhanush, the versatile actor, producer, and director, has consistently showcased his talent behind the camera. After scoring a hat-trick of hits as a director—with his debut Pa Paandi earning critical and commercial acclaim, followed by the successful Raayan and the youthful musical Jabilamma Neeku Antha Kopama—he is now gearing up for his fourth directorial project, Idli Kottu.
Set to release on October 1, 2025, coinciding with Dussehra, Idli Kottu has already created a positive buzz, thanks to its well-received trailer. The rural drama stars Nithya Menen as the female lead, with Arun Vijay in a pivotal role. Dhanush will be seen in two distinctive looks, adding to the film’s intrigue.
Produced in Telugu by Rama Rao Chintalapalli under SVM Productions, the film has secured a U/A certificate and has a runtime of 147 minutes. If Dhanush continues his successful streak, Idli Kottu could mark the start of a second directorial hat-trick.
