After delivering blockbusters like Jawan and Pushpa 2: The Rule, director Atlee is teaming up with Icon Star Allu Arjun for one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious and eagerly awaited projects. Tentatively titled AA22xA6, the film has already generated massive buzz, especially after the release of its announcement video that showcased glimpses of the massive pre-production work and international collaborations with top studios from the United States.

Following months of intense pre-production, the team is now officially set to begin shooting. So far, Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone are confirmed as the lead pair for this big-budget entertainer, which is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Mrunal Thakur and Janhvi Kapoor are also expected to play key roles, though formal announcements regarding their involvement are still awaited.

The makers launched the film with a grand pooja ceremony in Mumbai earlier today, attended by the entire cast and crew. A special photoshoot followed the ceremony, and these first-look glimpses are expected to be unveiled soon. The regular shoot officially commences tomorrow in Mumbai, with Allu Arjun and Mrunal Thakur participating in the initial schedule. The first leg will focus on filming crucial sequences that establish the film’s core narrative.

Set in a parallel universe, AA22xA6 promises a high-octane action drama infused with cutting-edge VFX, massive world-building, and intense emotional arcs. Industry insiders are buzzing with reports that Allu Arjun might be seen in a never-before-seen triple role, adding Atlee’s signature twist to the story.

The project is scheduled for an extended shooting timeline throughout 2025, with a multi-language theatrical release planned for late 2026. Deepika Padukone is expected to join the shoot in the later schedules. Mounted on a whopping ₹700 crore budget, AA22xA6 is one of the most expensive films ever made in India. The film’s music will be composed by Sai Abhyankar, who is making his major debut in cinema with this project.
