Dhurandhar Trailer Packs Grit and Intensity

Dhurandhar is currently one of the most talked-about Hindi films, and its trailer—released today—sets the tone for a gritty, violent drama inspired by real events. Featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead, the trailer showcases an intense world shaped by espionage, warfare, and the India–Pakistan conflict.

The film introduces its key characters with striking and graphic visuals. Arjun Rampal appears as ISI agent Major Iqbal, with a brutal and hard-hitting entry. R. Madhavan plays Ajay Sanyal, a character said to be inspired by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Akshaye Khanna features as Rehman Dakai, while Sanjay Dutt steps in as SP Chaudhary Aslam. Their presence adds solid star power and gravitas.

Dhurandhar is rumored to be based on the extraordinary life of Major Mohit Sharma, who famously went undercover as Iftikhar to infiltrate Hizbul Mujahideen in the early 2000s. The film also marks director Aditya Dhar’s return to filmmaking after six years since Uri: The Surgical Strike.

The trailer switches quickly into high-octane action mode. While it follows a familiar Bollywood template, the massive star cast and compelling premise could help the film secure strong box office momentum. The action sequences clearly form the film’s backbone, and the thriller elements are likely to earn appreciation. However, the graphic and gory visuals may restrict its appeal to some sections of the audience.

That said, Madhavan’s striking transformation and the overall rugged tone stand out, giving Dhurandhar a unique edge.
