Did KCR misinformed about Telangana becoming Corona free state?

Six Telanganites, who attended religious gathering in Delhi have been reported dead by chief minister’s office (CMO) yesterday. KTR In yesterday’s teleconference directed authorities to identify other people who came in contact with those six Covid-19 victims.

When questioned by the reporters regarding the statement made by CM claiming Telangana would be Corona free, Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA & UD) minister KT Rama Rao said “Home quarantine of all international travellers infected with COVID-19 would end on April 7.

As it was already stated by Chief Minister that there is no community spread and hopefully we will see a COVID free state by April 7. He was optimistic and exuding confidence since the 12 positive cases identified earlier have been reported negative. However, in light of what happened in Nizamuddin was unfortunate, there may be a slight delay in making the state Covid-19 free”

He further added that there are around nine lakh migrant labourers across Telangana from different states. 117 camps for such panic stricken people have been allocated in Hyderabad with essential food supplies, medical equipment and sanitation. The government is ensuring that none of them should migrate.

“Fear psychosis has created a strong belief in gripped migrant workers, that Corona virus is deadly and whosoever comes in contact with it would die. It has led them to believe that they want to breathe their last in their native places. But we are communicating to them that the fatality rate is only two per cent.” he said

KTR asserted firmly that Government is ready to control any secondary spread of coronvairus. assured DRDO has been instructed and there will be no inadequacy of personal protection equipment for health care personnel.
