Renowned filmmaker Krish has finally addressed his quiet and unexpected departure from Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu (HHVM), a topic that has been widely speculated in the film industry. Having completed over fifty percent of the film, Krish exited the project, leading the producer, AM Rathnam’s son, AM Jyothi Krishna, to step in and oversee its completion. Despite being credited in all promotional material and the final film, Krish remained absent from interviews and pre-release events, while HHVM faced a delayed release and underperformed at the box office.

During interactions with the media for his upcoming film Ghaati, Krish cited the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and personal reasons as the primary factors behind his exit. “I deeply respect both Pawan Kalyan garu and AM Rathnam garu. My departure from HHVM was due to scheduling conflicts following Covid-19 and some personal reasons,” he stated.

Krish also revealed that he began work on Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati while HHVM was on hold, emphasizing his dedication and passion toward every project he undertakes. “I devote my full attention and energy to any project I take on, and I did the same for both HHVM and Ghaati,” he added.

Starring Anushka Shetty in the titular role, Ghaati is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 5, 2025, and marks Krish’s highly anticipated return to the big screen.
