In today’s digital era, safeguarding a film’s content and key details has become significantly more challenging than in the past. Unfortunately, young director Sailesh Kolanu has had to experience this firsthand with his upcoming film, HIT 3.

As the film gears up for its theatrical release on May 1, speculation has been rife about a special appearance in the movie. Reports have surfaced claiming that a leading Tamil actor has been cast in a cameo role, a revelation that has now reached Sailesh, prompting him to share an emotional statement.

“For every moment of excitement that the audience experiences in cinemas, there is a team that works tirelessly for days and nights, pushing beyond their physical limits to create that impact. We take immense pride in our work. It is disheartening to see the state of media today, where some individuals don’t hesitate for a second before leaking crucial moments that are meant to be enjoyed exclusively in theaters,” Sailesh expressed in a heartfelt note.

He further addressed the ethical responsibility of journalists, stating, “While the urge to be the first to report news is understandable, it ultimately comes down to individual values. There have been times in history when journalists exercised restraint, choosing not to disclose sensitive information out of respect. I wish a certain section of the media had that same class. Leaking such details is not just about revealing a film’s surprises—it’s akin to stealing from both the film’s creators and the audience.”

Sailesh’s strong reaction highlights the ongoing struggle filmmakers face in preserving the theatrical experience amid the challenges of digital leaks and premature revelations. With HIT 3 generating significant buzz, fans will have to wait until May 1 to witness the full impact of the film on the big screen.
