A few days after the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) ordered the closure of the Bigg Boss Kannada house, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar stepped in to lift the seal, providing relief to the show’s organizers.
Taking to X, the Deputy CM wrote, “I have directed the Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru South District to lift the seal on Jollywood premises in Bidadi, where Bigg Boss Kannada is being filmed.” He emphasized his commitment to environmental protection, stating, “While environmental compliance remains a top priority, the studio will be given time to address violations in accordance with the norms set by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board. I remain committed to supporting the Kannada entertainment industry, while also upholding our responsibility toward environmental protection.”
The decision drew mixed reactions from the public, with some netizens questioning whether the show was being prioritized over environmental concerns.
Sandalwood star Sudeep, who hosts the reality show, expressed his gratitude to D.K. Shivakumar for his prompt intervention. He appreciated the authorities for recognizing that Bigg Boss Kannada had no connection to the disturbances that led to the closure notice. Sudeep also acknowledged the efforts of Nalpad in resolving the issue.
His statement reflected relief and optimism, confirming that Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 will continue as planned and reassuring fans with: “#BBK12 is here to stay🔥.”
