The Tamil Nadu Assembly Polls are slated to commence on April 6. Several key leaders from various parties, including Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, have filed their nomination papers for the forthcoming polls.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK) chief, opposition leader M. K. Stalin, who is aiming for the Chief Minister seat had submitted his nomination papers to the returning officer.
Along with his nomination papers, MK Stalin had also declared his assets details. The affidavit says Stalin has movable assets worth over Rs 4.94 crore. He has immovable assets worth Rs 2.24 crore, which includes lands and residential buildings.
MK Stalin’s wife’s movable assets worth Rs 30,52,854. She possesses gold jewels worth Rs 24.77 lakh. The opposition leader has Rs 50,000 as cash in hand and he doesn’t have any vehicle in his name.
DMK chief in his election affidavit said he had no liabilities and he doesn’t have any dues to banks or government agencies. MLA salary, bank deposits, and rent are his sources of income.
Compared to the details, he mentioned in his election affidavit for the 2016 elections affidavit, the worth of his movable assets increased and immovable assets’ worth decreased. The worth of Stalin’s movable and immovable assets stood at Rs 80.33 lakh and Rs 3.33 crore respectively according to the 2016 affidavit.
On the other hand, Stalin’s son Young Kollywood Hero Udhayanidhi is gearing up for his debut in electoral politics. Udhayanidhi Stalin declared 21.13 crore movable assets in his affidavit. His assets include a 2016 model four-wheeler worth Rs 1.77 crore.
