For the past few months, there have been strong rumours in both Indian and Korean media that Korean superstar Ma Dong-seok, popularly known as Don Lee, is set to play a key role in Prabhas’s upcoming film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Although the makers have remained tight-lipped about it so far, a new development has now added major weight to these reports.
According to the latest update from Korean media outlets, Don Lee’s Indian cinema debut is officially confirmed. Reports suggest that his recent visit to India was related to the film, and that he will be seen as the antagonist in this highly anticipated project. This revelation has sent Prabhas fans into a frenzy, with social media buzzing over the powerful collaboration between the Baahubali star and the Train to Busan actor.
A report from the Korean news agency Muko stated, “The film, titled Spirit, is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and features Prabhas, known for his role in Baahubali, in a dark-toned detective crime drama. It is heard that Dong-seok’s character will be in opposition to Prabhas’s role.”
If these reports hold true, Spirit will mark a massive crossover between Indian and Korean cinema, setting new benchmarks for pan-Asian collaborations.
As of now, the officially confirmed cast of Spirit includes Tripti Dimri, Prakash Raj, and Vivek Oberoi. The film is jointly produced by Bhadrakali Pictures and T-Series Films, with the regular shoot expected to commence soon. Fans are now eagerly awaiting an official announcement from the team confirming Don Lee’s grand entry into the project.
