MS Raju’s ‘Agadha’ First Look Hints at a Mythical Thriller

Veteran filmmaker MS Raju, known for delivering classic blockbusters such as Devi, Manasantha Nuvve, Okkadu, Varsham, and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana under Sumanth Arts, is now working on a highly ambitious new project. With his signature storytelling style, Raju has dedicated the past year exclusively to this film, aiming to present audiences with a fresh and unique cinematic experience.
The film’s promotions began in a creative and unconventional way. A humorous promotional video shows two thieves breaking into Raju’s office to steal, only to get distracted by posters of his earlier hit films. Their curiosity soon turns into fear when they notice a mysterious poster—later revealed to be from the upcoming film titled Agadha—hinting at its intriguing world.
The first-look poster further deepens the mystery. It showcases a dark cave illuminated by torches, a massive mystical idol with twelve hands, and a girl standing in front of it with her back turned. The visuals strongly suggest a divine and mythological theme with a suspenseful tone.
Produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu under Sri Adi Varaha Productions, the film was shot over 85 days across both grand sets and real locations. The makers have also planned nearly 45 minutes of VFX, indicating a large-scale visual experience.
The music is composed by Mikkin Arul Dev, while cinematography is handled by Nani Chamidishetty. Editing is done by Junaid Siddiqui, and production design is by Rajeev Nair. Additional screenplay support comes from Chaitanya Vegi. The film is written and directed by MS Raju.
