Dr. Sunitha Wins Relief in Viveka Case

Dr. Narreddy Sunitha, daughter of the late Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy and sister of Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, has finally secured a long-awaited relief after years of relentless legal struggle. Sunitha, who has been bravely fighting for justice in her father’s brutal 2019 murder case, faced immense hurdles during the YSRCP regime — including false criminal cases filed against her and her husband, Rajasekhar Reddy.

The Kadapa police, under then-ASI Ramakrishna Reddy and ASP Rajeshwar Reddy, had registered cases against the couple despite them being victims in the case. In a major development, the Telangana High Court has now dismissed those false cases, providing Sunitha with significant relief and validation.

Taking the matter further, the current NDA government is said to be initiating departmental action against the officers responsible. Even though both officers have retired, their retirement benefits are reportedly being withheld until the completion of a detailed inquiry.

Meanwhile, a person named Kullayappa from Lingala has lodged a fresh complaint seeking strict legal action against the retired officers for their alleged role in harassing Dr. Sunitha and her family. With this, the tables have turned — those who once filed the FIRs may soon face cases themselves.

After years of struggle, setbacks, and courage, this development stands as a major moral and legal victory for Dr. Sunitha in her pursuit of justice in the Viveka murder case.
