Ahead of the release of Vijay Devarakonda’s “Arjun Reddy”, people can see the kissing posters of the lead actors occupying every nook and corner of the two Telugu states, a promotional tool that ignited a huge controversy.
A few days ago, senior Congress leader VH tore down the kissing poster of Arjun Reddy from an RTC bus, and vehemently rebuked the makers for allegedly resorting to cheap publicity gimmicks. Later, a few women’s organizations too filed complaints against makers of Arjun Reddy for using the kissing posters for publicity. They alleged that the ‘obscene’ posters are imparting the foreign culture among youth.
Heeding to the demands of women’s organizations, makers of Arjun Reddy have now decided to remove all those posters in the twin Telugu states. It may not make much difference as the posters have already grabbed the targeted eyeballs ahead of the film’s release on 25th August.
