The recent rave party at Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills had sent shocking waves across the country, not just Telangana. The issue took a political turn with the opposition parties attacking the government that a few rich kids were let go without their names appearing in the news.
On the other hand, the Telangana Government is not leaving any turn to crack the case. The cops are digging deeper into the case and they sought police custody of the accused from the court and it will hear the petition on Monday. This made many people look at what the court will do now.
Amid this, Minister of Prohibition & Excise Department in the state V Srinivas Goud chaired a key meeting with the owners of various pubs and hotels in the state. The Tourism Plaza Hotel hosted the crucial meeting.
Though there is no information on what went through the meeting, the Minister had reportedly directed the owners of the pubs to focus on facilities like CCTVs at the establishments so that the police will have it easy while probing the case.
Talking about the recent case, the Minister had reportedly issued a warning that no establishment would be spared if a similar issue gets repeated and warned the owners to make sure that they stay out of the practice of supplying drugs to the customers.
“Held a high level review meeting with the Managements of pubs & bars at Tourism Plaza Hotel in Begumpet & informed that stern action will be taken if drug usage is found in any of the establishments,” the Minister said in a tweet.
“Managements of pubs & bars were instructed to pass information to Toll free number of the Prohibition and Excise Department, 1800 425 2523 about customers who use drugs and narcotics,” he added.
