Massive preparations are currently underway to organize over 500 early morning shows for WAR 2 across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. While the screenings are tentatively planned to start as early as 5 AM, official permissions from the respective state governments are still pending.
Sithara Entertainments, which acquired the Telugu theatrical rights for a whopping ₹80 crore, is actively coordinating with distributors and leading theatre chains to facilitate these special shows. The main driving force behind this decision is the massive fan following of Jr NTR, who plays a key role in the film.
Jr NTR’s box office pull in the Telugu states is well-known. His last film Devara had more than 500 special shows starting from 1 AM, making it the second-biggest opener in the region after RRR. With WAR 2 carrying similar hype, expectations are sky-high once again.
If the early morning screenings get the green light, WAR 2 could become the first non-Telugu film to achieve such a large-scale early show release, setting a new benchmark in the process.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, WAR 2 stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, and is part of Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe, which includes hits like Pathaan and Tiger 3. The film is set for a pan-India release on August 14th, and fans are eagerly awaiting official confirmation on the early shows.
Until then, exhibitors are staying ready, anticipating an overwhelming demand once bookings go live.
