Actress Alia Bhatt has officially announced that she will be making her debut at the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival this year. Speaking during a media interaction ahead of her 32nd birthday, Alia revealed that she will be attending the event as a brand ambassador for a renowned beauty brand.

Expressing her excitement, Alia shared, “I am really looking forward to it. I have already planned my dress for the event, and my team is experimenting with new makeup styles. I am both nervous and excited about my Cannes debut. I might try something bold, like colorful eyeshadow, inspired by my own makeup tutorial earlier this year.”

With this, Alia joins the league of Bollywood actresses such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aditi Rao Hydari, who have previously represented the brand at Cannes. In the past, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone have also graced the red carpet for the same company.

Apart from discussing her Cannes debut, Alia also spoke about her plans to expand her kid-care brand, which has been growing steadily. Meanwhile, her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, provided updates on his upcoming projects. He confirmed that director Ayan Mukerji will begin pre-production for ‘Brahmastra 2’ after the release of ‘War 2’ in August this year.

Speaking about the much-anticipated sequel, Ranbir said, “‘Brahmastra 2’ is a project Ayan has been nurturing for a very long time. Right now, he is focused on ‘War 2,’ but once that is released, he will shift his attention to ‘Brahmastra 2.’ It is definitely happening.”

With Alia’s Cannes debut and Ranbir’s upcoming projects, the power couple continues to make waves in both Bollywood and the global entertainment industry.
