Now, Eesha Rebba is in the limelight for a surprising reason. According to reports, Eesha was offered to play a supporting yet pivotal role in the upcoming mythological epic love story ”Shakuntalam”. However, she failed to bag the opportunity because of her remuneration demands. Eesha, reportedly, demanded a huge paycheck for ”Shakuntalam”, which gave the makers a bit of a shock. The report, further, states that the actress’ busy schedule too proved to be an issue and resulted in her missing out on the film.

The core plot of ”Shakuntalam” is taken from Adi Parvam in Mahabharata. The film will reportedly show the love story of Shakuntala and Dushyanth. It is learned that the film’s team has officially announced that Samantha Akkineni will be playing the role of Shakuntala, one of the lead characters in Kalidasa’s epic Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. Mani Sharma will compose the music for this film, which will release in almost all the languages of the country. Gunasekhar’s elder daughter Neelima Guna will be bankrolling the project under Gunaa Teamworks.
