Lily Collins is set to reprise her role as Emily Cooper in the highly anticipated Emily in Paris Season 5, which is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on December 18. On Wednesday, the makers released a special trailer giving fans a glimpse of what’s in store.
The trailer hints at a blossoming romance between Emily and Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), whom she met in Season 4. Over scenes of Emily and Marcello growing closer and sharing intimate moments, a voiceover says, “We start on a beautiful woman. She’s joined by a man. It’s clear they know each other. Unable to keep their hands off each other, eventually sharing a kiss.”
Emily is also seen reunited with Mindy (Ashley Park), who comments, “Rome looks so good on you,” while rapid shots showcase Emily enjoying life in Rome. Fans also get a sneak peek of Minnie Driver’s new character, Princess Jane, as well as Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) arriving at a meeting where Julien (Samuel Arnold) quips, “If we are all here, who’s in Paris?”
Netflix teased the season on Instagram, writing: “Hearts will Rome farther than ever before. EMILY IN PARIS returns December 18.”
In addition to Collins, Leroy-Beaulieu, Park, Arnold, Driver, and Franceschini, Season 5 also features Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Thalia Besson (Genevieve), Paul Forman (Nico), Arnaud Binard (Laurent G), Bryan Greenberg (Jake), and Michèle Laroque (Yvette).
