The OTT market grew multifold in the past year or two due to the lockdown. A lot of new online streaming networks cropped up and this weekend is going to be interesting with some crazy films and series coming our way. Recently, we saw ‘Jagame Thanthiram’ and others entertaining the audience. Coming to the upcoming weekend we have films from multiple languages and a much-awaited Hollywood web series arriving.
Malayalam movie ‘Cold Case’ featuring Prithviraj in the lead is coming on 30th June on Amazon Prime Video. The makers opted for an OTT release and this investigative drama has created a lot of curiosity. Aditi Balan is the heroine while Tanu Balak who is a well-known cinematographer has handled the megaphone.
On the other hand, we have Tapsee arriving on July 2nd with her ‘Haseena Dilruba’ on Netflix. Vikrant Massy and Harshavardhan Rane are the male leads in this film and the trailer is packed with a lot of twists and turns. Directed by Vinil Mathew, this movie is arriving with a decent buzz thanks to Tapsee’s craze and glamour.
Kannada film ‘Pogaru’ featuring Dhruv Sarja and Rashmika Mandanna is also premiering on July 2nd but on ‘Aha’. The film released on the big screens this year and disappointed the audience. But people who missed this commercial mass masala flick can watch it on ‘Aha’.
The fan-favorite Loki character from the Marvel comics is getting a series of his own this time. The first season of ‘Loki’ is getting a lot of positive reviews already and the Avengers spin-off series is available on Disney Hotstar. The Telugu version is made available from 30th July.
