Ex-CBI Official Not To Join Politics?

Senior IPS officer and former joint director of Central Bureau of Investigation V V Lakshminarayana is not going to join politics, if one were go by his own words. He told a television channel that there was no truth in the reports appearing in the media that he was going to join politics.

“I have no plans to join politics. It is just a media speculation. I love to spend my time among the people always,” he said.Lakshminarayana, however, sounded political note when he spoke about the special category status to Andhra Pradesh.

“Almost all the political parties and organisations have been fighting in their own way. I am confident that the Centre will have no option but to grant special category status one day or the other,” he said. The former CBI joint director had applied for voluntary retirement but his application is yet to get approved.

In his private conversations, he gave indications that he might join politics and it led to the speculations that he might join the Jana Sena Party of Pawan Kalyan or the Bharatiiya Janata Party. And there is also a talk that he might float his own political party.

Yet, there is one option which cannot be ruled out at present. Lakshminarayana might float a political action forum, rather than a political party, which would indirectly work for the TDP.

He would launch a movement against corruption and would give lengthy lectures all over the state, attacking the YSRC.Let us wait and see his moves!
