Director Aditya Dhar has shared several fascinating behind-the-scenes insights about the pan-India sensation Dhurandhar, revealing the massive effort that went into crafting its high-octane action sequences.

He explained that during the shoot, he constantly navigated the thin line between belief and disbelief, as the scale of execution often felt almost impossible. One of the most striking revelations was the involvement of over 400 stunt professionals, making it one of the largest action crews ever assembled for a single film.

Aditya Dhar recalled a moment when the team joked that all stuntmen in Mumbai had already been used, leaving no fresh crew available. This highlights the unprecedented scale at which the action sequences were mounted.

The director also spoke about his bold and unconventional ideas that shaped the film’s action. These included sequences such as a man being placed inside an industrial pressure cooker, another tied to a bike and dragged through crowded streets, and multiple performers suspended upside down from fans. While these concepts sounded extreme on paper, he credited stunt coordinators Ajaz Gulab and Yannick Ben for executing them safely and spectacularly.

According to Dhar, action in Dhurandhar was never just about fights—it was about creating a sense of controlled chaos and intensity that delivers a unique cinematic “madness” to the audience. Large-scale gang wars and explosion sequences were designed with extreme precision despite the inherent risks.

Reports also suggest that Ranveer Singh underwent intense physical preparation for these demanding sequences. The director further emphasized that such a vision would not have been possible without the dedication of his technical team.

With its groundbreaking visuals and ambitious scale, Dhurandhar is said to have crossed the massive milestone of ₹3000 crore at the box office, setting a new benchmark for Indian action cinema.

Overall, Dhurandhar is being celebrated not just for what appears on screen, but also for the extraordinary effort behind it, redefining standards for large-scale action filmmaking in India.
