Trivikram is considering numerous options for the female lead role in his upcoming biggie, SSMB28. There is a new addition to the list of actresses who are in talks for the big-budget celluloid.
As said by our sources, Malayali beauty Malavika Mohanan who was last seen in Vijay’s Master is in talks for the female lead role in SSMB28.
The makers of the Mahesh Babu starrer recently contacted Malavika and enquired about her availability. Trivikram is expected to narrate the story to the young actress very soon and the final call will be taken correspondingly.
If things fall into place, the much-anticipated SSMB28 will be Malavika’s maiden Telugu film and she couldn’t have asked for a better launch pad for her career in Telugu cinema, given the scale of the project.
Mahesh Babu plans to commence shooting for SSMB28 soon after he is done with Sarkaru Vaari Paata.

Krithi Shetty Talks Uppena, LIK, and Upcoming Tamil-Telugu Films
Krithi Shetty, currently promoting her Tamil film LIK alongside director Pradeep Ranganathan and producer Vignesh Shivan, is steadily building buzz around the project. While the two songs released so far have received a lukewarm response, the anticipation for the film continues to grow.
During an interaction about LIK, Krithi fondly recalled her Telugu debut Uppena, which catapulted her to overnight fame. She shared a humorous anecdote about how she landed the role: “I had gone to audition for a commercial. My dad was supposed to pick me up, but he was late. I wandered into the next studio where another audition was happening. They asked if I was interested in films. I didn’t know what to say, so I gave them my mom’s number. Later, they called her, and it turned out to be for Uppena.” The film, starring Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Vijay Sethupathi, became a massive hit.
Despite starting her career with such a high-profile success, Krithi’s journey since has had its ups and downs. She is now gearing up for another Tamil project, Vaa Vaathiyaar, with Karthi, which will release in Telugu as Annagaru Vastaru.
