Hariprasad Jakka, the director of recent release Play Back is in talks with mega hero Varun Tej for his next project, say sources.
Despite the lukewarm response Play Back had garnered, Varun Tej trusses in Hariprasad and asked the latter to develop a script that would suit his image. This is a golden opportunity to the struggling director who made his debut with Darsakudu a few years ago.
Hariprasad Jakka was an associate of Sukumar and even provided the story for films like 1 Nenokkadine and 100% Love. He is struggling to get his career going as a director and if he manages to impress Varun Tej with his script and scores a hit with the film, things can turn around very quickly.
Varun Tej is presently with Ghani, an action drama based on the sport of boxing. He is also simultaneously working on F3. He will take the final call on Hariprasad Jakka’s project once the latter comes up with the story.
Coming to Play Back, the film has Dinesh Tej and Ananya Nagalla in the lead roles. It received poor reviews and a lukewarm word of mouth.
