Pooja Hegde is the most sought-after actress in the Telugu film industry currently. She is the go-to choice for almost all big-ticket films of late and as expected, she has hiked her remuneration big time.
Previously, Pooja Hegde charged Rs 1.50 crore to act alongside Bellamkonda Srinivas in Sakshyam. This is the highest remuneration she had charged for a film till date.
As for Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, she was paid Rs 1.40 crores. The blockbuster success of the Allu Arjun starrer has changed the game for Pooja Hegde and she is demanding a big fat paycheck now.
For her subsequent projects post Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Pooja Hegde is said to be demanding Rs 2 crores remuneration. This is a substantially big demand, given the current situation pertaining to Covid-19 outbreak. However, it is said that Pooja took a remuneration of Rs 1 crore for Prabhas’s ‘Radhe Shyam’ as she had signed the film before Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo hit the theaters.
Tollywood is presently witnessing an economic recession owing to Covid-19 pandemic. Producers will be trying their best to cut down the production costs and actors won’t be having the luxury of drawing massive remunerations. It remains to be seen if Pooja Hegde can get things going her way and sign projects with her high financial demands. She is yet to sign a film after the release of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
