YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has been dreaming and desperate to occupy the CM throne, finally caught on camera why he wants to become CM. He himself opened up on his “reason” behind his long-pending wish. Speaking at a press conference Jagan stated, “I don’t know why Chandrababu Naidu wants to rule the state. I don’t know what are his reasons. But as far as I’m concerned, I want to become CM only to rule for 30-long-years continuously.”
Rather than stating to serve the people or promising to do something for people, Jagan bluntly stating to rule once again exposes his “greed” for power. Jagan went on to add that every house of the state should keep his “photograph” after his “death” alongside his father’s photo. Not long ago, Jagan stated that Naidu’s rule would only last for two more years quoting few astrologers although four-and-a-half years more are left as per people’s mandate and Indian constitution.
Jagan received flak with this statement, in fact, own party leaders too off-the-record expressed their shock over their party leader’s statement. Now taking this “madness” of power to the next level, Jagan claiming to become CM for 30 long years reflecting his “monarchy” attitude. Already, several senior leaders of the party, including founding members of the party, quit the party alleging his “rude” and “high-handed” attitude.
Yet Jagan Reddy hasn’t learnt no lessons. Political analysts too are making fun of Jagan’s speech. “How could a man who can’t even run his own party and control his own party members can claim to rule the State?” questioned a senior political observer. “The leader of Opposition is a very respectable post and Jagan seems to be even unfit for this.
Opposition means not to oppose anything and everything by the government. It should take people’s side but not act for political gains. Moreover, elections are over seven months ago and 2019 is so far. It’s not time to talk about who will be CM or why does one wants to be CM. It’s time to talk about people’s woes,” added the political observer.
