Singer and actress Mamta Mohandas recently opened up about some of the most challenging periods of her life in a podcast, sharing personal losses and heartbreaks. She candidly spoke about betrayal and deception in love, particularly during a relationship with a prominent Malayalam actor, which left her deeply hurt. Mamta revealed that during this difficult time, she was also battling cancer, and the actor, who was already engaged to someone else, hid the truth from her, causing emotional pain.

She also spoke about her marital life and expressed that she is ready for a second marriage. In 2011, she married her childhood friend Prajeeth Padmanabhan, but due to personal differences, their marriage lasted only six months, and they officially divorced in 2012. Recently, in a podcast hosted by Suhasini Maniratnam, Mamta mentioned that she is open to marrying again if she finds the right partner.

On the professional front, Mamta continues to stay busy with diverse roles. She has acted in films such as My Dear Sister, 3 Countries, Jothan, and Oh My Vigil. In My Dear Sister (Tamil), she played a lorry driver in a strong feminist role. In 3 Countries (Malayalam), she stars alongside Dileep in the sequel of the superhit film. The Malayalam film Jothan, directed by Bhadra, is set to release later this year, and Oh My Vigil, featuring Prabhu Deva, is currently in its shooting phase.

As a singer, Mamta has continued her musical journey, focusing on songs and music videos that resonate with her personally, even though she records fewer songs than before. Despite personal challenges, she remains active and committed to her craft, balancing both acting and singing successfully.
