Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is under tremendous pressure from his supporters and party workers to shrug off the alliance with the BJP. The feedback from the party workers suggests that most of them feel that the alliance has considerably hit the prospects of the party in both the Telugu states.
Forced by the party workers and fans even Pavan Kalyan had to say that he was not comfortable in the alliance and would not like to continue the partnership. What more, he had also asked his party workers in Hyderabad to vote for Surabhi Vani Devi, the TRS candidate, in the Graduate MLC constituency elections. This meant that he wanted defeat for BJP candidate N Ramachandra Rao. The BJP is now livid at the Jana Sena for not honouring the alliance dharma. However, the Jana Sena strongly feels that the BjP was adopting a ‘use and throw’ policy towards it. It also feels that the anti-minority tag of the BJP has led to the defeat of all the Jana Sena candidates in Vijayawada.
But will this also mean that the Jana Sena will call off the alliance with the BJP in the Tirupati bypolls and contest independently? Not likely, say those in the know. They say that despite the bad blood between both the parties, the alliance is likely to continue.
