Karnataka has Bangalore, Tamil Nadu has Chennai, Telangana has Hyderabad, Maharashtra has Mumbai, Gujarat has Ahmedabad, but shouldn’t Andhra Pradesh have one such city? Why AP has been been not funded by centre to develop a capital city?, questioned Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu talking to a large gathering at the ‘Dharma Porata Sabha’ held in Tirupati on Monday (April 30, 2018). Chandrababu Naidu has held this mass event exactly four years after Narendra Modi’s Tirupati visit and speech during 2014 poll campaign (April 30, 2014).
“As I gave a call to offer land for Capital City, farmers have offered 34000 acres of their land that is worth of 50000 Crore. Whereas Narendra Modi has given just 1500 Crore,” Chandrababu laughed at Modi’s contribution to AP Capital City Amaravati and exposed his “insult” to the state. Naidu alleged that the Centre is humiliating people of AP by advising us to build an Administrative Building with the allotted Rs 1500 Crore.
‘Delhi-Mumbai has been given a bullet train with a budget of Rs 1,15,000 Crore and for the proposed Sub-urban train in Mumbai, Rs 30,000 Crore to Rs 40,000 Crore has been given as an aid and big chunk of funds have been given to Gujarat. But why only AP is being denied funds and projects?’, a furious Chandrababu has grilled Modi.
Chandrababu said people of AP, especially farmers in AP capital city region have imposed huge faith on him. Naidu said he would not compromise on state’s demands. He said his ministers in Cabinet have quit at the right time and even their party has come out of NDA only after the Finance Bill is made and AP has been neglected. Naidu said he hasn’t left a single opportunity to get funds from the Centre to the State.
