Recently, rural dramas set against the backdrop of Telangana have been making a significant impact at the box office. Now, another film is set to join this wave—Baapu, starring Brahmaji, Amani, and others in pivotal roles.

Baapu appears to be a dark comedy-drama that combines humor with thought-provoking moments. Directed and written by Daya, the film is produced by Raju and CH. Bhanu Prasad Reddy.

The teaser for the film, which was unveiled by Rashmika Mandanna, gives a glimpse into the plot, which revolves around a family facing a disturbing shift where the survival of its members hinges on the sacrifice of one of their own. While the premise is undeniably dark, the film introduces dark humor, balancing emotional depth with absurdity. The story is reportedly inspired by real-life incidents, adding an element of authenticity to the narrative.

The film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Brahmaji, Amani, Sudhakar Reddy, Dhanya Balakrishna, Mani Aegurla, and Avasarala Srinivas, all of whom add significant value to the project.
