Bollywood star actor Anil Kapoor has teamed up with his son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor for a Netflix’s film, titled Thar. The streaming giant on Monday announced the project that sees the real-life father-son duo in the lead roles.
Produced by Anil Kapoor Film Company (AKFC), the revenge noir thriller marks the directorial debut of Raj Singh Chaudhary.
Inspired by Western Noir genres, the movie has been set in the eighties and the classic Western is a first for Indian cinema and audiences; the makers said.
Chaudhary has also written the film and penned the dialogues with Anurag Kashyap. Thar is the second collaboration between Anil Kapoor and Harsh Varrdhan after AK vs AK. The revenge thriller film also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Satish Kaushik.
