Shekhar Kammula tried for star heroes for ‘Fidaa’ before going to Varun Tej for playing the hero who happens to be an NRI. The efforts he put in for ‘Fidaa’ is something which makes the film his Baahubali says the director.
The story was there with him since long but he kept on adding changes to the story and Shekhar Kammula thinks writing a love story isn’t that easy. He should live up to the status because it is someone’s hard-earned money and fame which is going to be at stake.
The director sounded confident and claims that the audiences hadn’t seen a film like this. The love story between an NRI and a local Telangana girl is something fresh and would cater to the tastes of the audiences who are looking for a refreshing movie. This movie is very critical for the director who had a series of flops and coming with ‘Fidaa’ after a gap.
