The Annual Filmfare Awards function concluded last night in Chennai. The Prestigious film awards function ended up as huge disappointment at least in Telugu. The displeasure is particularly with the Best Actor and Best Actress choices made by the organizers.
Every one expected Nagarjuna and Samantha to walk away with these awards for their fabulous performances in Manam but the organizers surprised every one by choosing Allu Arjun and Shruti Hassan for these awards with their performances in Race Gurram.
The organizers seem to have given ‘commercial aspects’ more weight-age than true merit in deciding the list. Manam still managed to bag awards like Best Movie, Best Director, Best Music, Best Cinematography and Best Lyric writer.
