At long last, the Congress high command has taken the issue of TPCC rejit a wee bit seriously. After dilly-dallying for months, the high command now feels that any further delay could make the party all the more weak and drive the disgruntled party workers and leaders into the BJP fold.
If the buzz we are hearing is right then the Congress high command has already decided to make Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy as the next CLP leader. He is a Reddy, a young leader and does not have the kind of opposition that Revanth Reddy has within the party. His appointment would also silence the senior leaders who are opposed to Revanth Reddy. His brother Komatireddy Venkat Reddy would be taken into the AICC national team. Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, the present CLP leader, would be made the chief of the SC cell at the national level. Similarly, young leaders like Duddilla Sridhar Babu would be promoted at the national level.
All these will be done to ensure that the like is clear for Revanth Reddy to take over as the PCC chief. The party leaders are already talking to the seniors and are trying to mollify them. The party has now come to realize that many party leaders are looking to join the BJP and that there is an urgent need to do something to stem the tide.
