The election results in the poll-bound states were out the other day. The results had once again proved that Uttar Pradesh, the land of gods remains the stronghold of the saffron party as the BJP won the elections in the second consecutive term. Yogi Adityanath scored good points for guiding the party to a landslide victory.
The Maharashtra-based Shiv Sena, the former ally of BJP reacted to the election in its typical style. A Party Rajya Sabha member took a sarcastic dig at the BJP over the thundering win.
Firebrand leader Sanjay Raut had claimed that BSP’s Mayawati and AIMIM’s Owaisi had worked extensively for the saffron party and they should be given due credit for BJP’s win in the general elections.
The Shiv Sena leader had claimed that Mayawati and Owaisi should be credited for BJP’s win and for the hard work they should be given Padma Vibhushan and Bharat Ratna respectively, media reports said.
He went on to say that Uttar Pradesh has been the stronghold of BJP and despite this, Akhilesh Yadav gave a tough fight and his party had won more seats compared to the previous election.
Having said that, Sanjay Raut expressed his shock over the BJP losing Punjab cheaply despite several key leaders giving their best in campaigning for the party in Punjab.
