Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s family narrowly escaped a shocking attack when unidentified assailants opened fire at their residence in Civil Lines, Bareilly, during the early hours of the morning. Inside the house at the time were her father, retired DSP Jagdish Singh Patani, along with her mother and sister, who fortunately escaped without injuries.
The incident took a serious turn after notorious gangster Goldy Brar openly claimed responsibility on social media. He alleged that the firing was linked to comments made by Disha and her sister against certain religious figures, and even went on to issue further threats through his network.
Reacting swiftly, a joint team of the UP STF and Delhi Police tracked down two suspects in Ghaziabad. The chase ended in a fierce encounter when the accused opened fire on officers. Both were shot and injured, with one later succumbing to his wounds in hospital.
From the spot, police seized a large cache of weapons, including foreign-made pistols and live cartridges. Initial investigations suggest that the attack was backed by an international crime syndicate, with clear links emerging to Goldy Brar’s gang.
Authorities are now intensifying their probe to identify who exactly ordered the hit and whether more associates are still at large. The case has quickly escalated into a high-stakes investigation involving organized crime networks that extend beyond India’s borders.
