The culture of biopics has picked up a lot in Bollywood and most of them have been about freedom fighters and sportspersons who brought laurels to the country. But now, for the first time, a biopic is being made on a film celebrity and here is the interesting part, the celebrity is very much alive and kicking. He is none other than Sanjay Dutt fondly known as Sanju Baba.
News from Mumbai is that a biopic is being made on his life and the man to helm that project would be the super talented Rajkumar Hirani. This is quite an interesting project because the life of Sanjay Dutt has not at all been a bed of roses. Right from drugs to failed marriages to underworld connections to terrorism, Sanju has seen it all.
Despite all the odds, he emerged to be a bankable superstar Bollywood has ever seen. Though he is currently in the Yerawada jail, Sanju is still the sought after actor. So, it would be interesting to see what further truths will come out in his biopic.
