The first Covid-19 Delta Plus Variant case has been registered in Andhra Pradesh, Health Minister Alla Nani said. He told the Delta Plus case was recorded in Tirupati a few days back.
However, the Minister clarified that the treatment for the person has also been completed and it has not spread from the victim to others.
The Minister explained that black fungus and Delta Plus cases should be kept vigilant and all necessary precautions should be taken.
Meanwhile, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered the officers to remain vigilant until Covid-19 is fully detained. He directed the authorities to be ready to face the third wave.
Delta Plus has already been announced a variant of concern by the central government. The cases have primarily been focused in three states – Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Kerala.
