The first look of ‘Shabaash Mithu’ starring Taapsee in the lead role is out. This is a film based on the life of lady cricketer Mithali Raj who is reckoned as a legend on women’s cricket. Taapsee is playing the title role and in the first look, she is seen in the blue jersey.
The bat in her hands and backdrop of stadium add up to the ambiance of the poster. Priya Aven is directing the movie and there are also rumours that Bollywood star heroine Anushka Sharma is doing a cameo, in the role of Jhulan Goswami who is India’s leading wicket taker in women’s cricket.
“The statement that made every cricket lover pause n introspect that do they love the game or the gender playing it. @M_Raj03 you are a ‘Game Changer'” wrote Taapsee sharing the first look. In reply, Mithali wrote, “Looking forward to you bringing life to my story on the big screen!”
