Former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) was rushed to Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad on Thursday evening after he suddenly fell ill. Around 6 PM, he reportedly appeared weak and was unable to walk properly, prompting his family to seek immediate medical attention.
Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors shifted KCR to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and conducted a series of diagnostic tests. Later in the night, Yashoda Hospital released an official bulletin stating that his condition is currently stable. However, doctors noted that his blood sugar levels were high and his sodium levels had dropped significantly, leading to extreme fatigue. They also identified a few other health-related concerns but confirmed that he is under close observation and receiving necessary treatment.
Current Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy contacted hospital authorities over the phone to inquire about KCR’s health. He urged the medical team to ensure the best possible care and extended his wishes for a speedy recovery.
As news of KCR’s hospitalization spread, a large number of BRS leaders and party supporters attempted to gather at the hospital to express their concern. In response, the police enforced crowd-control measures and tightened security in and around Somajiguda, Raj Bhavan Road, and Khairatabad Junction to prevent any disruption or unrest.
