Murli Deora, former Union Minister and senior leader of Congress party passed away due to cancer on Monday morning in Mumbai. 77 year old Murli Deora is survived by his wife and two sons. One of his son Milind Deora is also a former MP.
Popular as Murli Bhai, he passed away at 3.25 AM. He was suffering from ill health for quite sometime and was admitted in a hospital. Family sources said that he was shifted to house couple of days back. Deora’s body would be kept at Congress office in Mumbai to enable party workers pay their last respects from 12 noon to 2 PM.
Family informed that his last rites will be held at Chandanwadi Crematorium today. Deora, an economics graduate held many portfolios like Petroleum and Natural Gas and was elected MP four times from Mumbai South.
