Varun Tej’s recent release, “Gandeevadhari Arjuna,” faced a dismal response from audiences, marking the worst opening in the actor’s career. Despite being crafted on an extravagant budget, the film’s opening was shockingly disastrous, failing to garner much interest from viewers.
It struggled to accumulate even minimal shares across different territories, and its worldwide share is expected to fall below 1 crore on its opening day, underlining the extent of its poor reception. In light of this catastrophic start and the evident lack of audience engagement, the film’s creators are contemplating an early OTT release.
Given that the digital rights were secured by Netflix and theatrical revenue prospects remain grim, the team is actively considering a release on the streaming platform. The anticipated timeline for the film’s Netflix debut is the third week of September.
“Gandeevadhari Arjuna” had virtually no pre-release buzz, with its trailer and promotional content failing to generate any significant interest. Directed by Praveen Sattaru, the film stars Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead and Vinay Rai as the antagonist.
The ensemble cast includes Nazar, Roshini Prakash, Manish Chaudhari, Abhinav Gomatam, Ravi Varma, Kalpalatha, and Baby Vedain. Produced by Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, the movie boasts a musical score by Mickey J Meyer.
